Instead of the same boring salads (salad w/ chicken breast or steak)
try putting meatballs with it. (this is great if everyone is eating at Subway and you don't want a low-carb wrap--just watch the sauce don't get alot.)
Also if you love tacos like me, layer everything on your plate minus the taco shell and only add the amount of salsa to equal the carbs you want to add. I make this at home for myself when everyone else wants tacos and I don't feel like I am missing out.
Another thing if you love fried mozzerella sticks try this- take some mozzerella and put it in the microwave just enough to melt it and then dip it in your fav sauce.
When you get to the point of adding fruits back into your diet and you want a low carb dip for them take one ounce cream cheese and add one packet of splenda to it it makes a wonderful dip for fruits.
If you are having a hamburger (minus the bun) and want the crunch of french fries cut up some green pepper strips and dip them in dressing.
It is wonderful if you can find a buddy to do this diet with (a friend and I did it together) and experiment with food THE SKY IS THE LIMIT with your imagination. I found it is all about tricking your brain into thinking it is getting the good stuff without the carbs. (ex. spagetti and meatballs-- a meatball salad --same taste minus the pasta.)
We also found that if you start to stall out go off your diet for a couple of days and reboost your self. Your body will start to adapt to what ever you eat and only burn that much. (ex. say you have maintained you regular weight for years and in this you have eaten a candy bar everyday your body has adapted to this and you don't gain or lose weight but if you just started eating a candy bar everyday you will gain until your body gets use to this so eventually your body will get use to eating low carb all the time so from time to time trick your body by giving it some carbs.) We have had really great sucess from eating this way.
Good luck to you all and I hope this may help some of you.
