Low carb on a budget

I am a single parent of two on a teachers salary so I feel you. I buy in bulk, like eggs almost all stores sell 2 1/2 dozen. When buying cheeses compare prices and make sure you are getting the best deal. Compare the ounces and breakdown. Such as cheese small may be 1.99 and a large 4.00. Cheaper to buy two small (I know it's pennies but those pennies add up). My grocery store on the day before the prepackaged salads "sell by date" comes up will put the salad on sale for 25 cents. Buy large bags of salad and tape it shut because for whatever reason they do not sell them in resealable bags. And most of all buy generic. I have found out from pharmacists and grocers that the generic or store brand is just as good as name brand if it is cheaper. All you have to do is compare the labels.

Ebay is a good place to find low carb bars. Some are just out of date, but they are good as the ones you buy in the store. Many other low carb foods are available too. Hope this helps.
