Using meat sauce as salad dressing

Postby housewife on Fri Jun 25, 2004 4:36 am

I am a beginner for low-carb diet. I like all kinds of stew (beef / lamb) and will prepare a lot during weekend. I will freeze the meat and sauce separately, that way I can skim out the fat easily from the sauce.

As a beginner, I simply eat meat and salad, very simple. However, I want to cut down the comsumption of salad dressing. So, I've tried using the meat sauce as the dressing and it turns out great.

I'd like your comment and wanted to know if I am doing anything wrong for low-carb diet.

Another great way to add variety to your salads is to make a dressing with a very small amount of oil and then use flavored vinegars, mustards and herbs to add a lot of flavor with low fat and no carbs. :D
