as I read thru the post here I have to smile I have been meaning to log in here and tell what has happened this last year so here goes
...I have been on the 'carb diet' since March 1st of last year (04) my son was on it for several months and was having problems because of bland tasting food and limited selections... He asked me to help him out by creating a menu of 'homemade' items so that he could continue... I decided that in order to "fully understand" the diet I had to try it.... he was right eggs, cheese and porkrinds make a dull menu. lol the 'box' selections were limited and frankly tasted more like the box then palatable food.... after reading post here and other places I took a trip to our local Health store and picked up some staples and started to work......well to cut a long story short its been almost a year and i now have a great menu that I work with that includes biscuits and sausage gravy, blueberry pancakes to a great chicken florentine for dinner.....I eat like a horse, more then any diet I have ever been on....my doc says I have better 'numbers' then her.
and I am hoping to start a local group here in knoxville..... the main reason for this post it to say thanks for all the imput and ideas its been a great asset.... Being a chef at a small town cafe it has been hard to 'diet' but this has been a breeze....thanks all and keep Carbing! it works great!

How much you ask? since march 1st 2004 from till today
178 pounds

might I say that to be motivated to make yourself stay on a 'diet' that involves nothing more then a sandwich and 3 liters of water is quite a feat in itself....and you should be able to do any diet you put your mind too.
yes you will lose wieght at first because your body is going to flush itself, water is always good, keep an eye on your health pls....check blood pressure and you might wanna consider good vitamin supplement just to make sure that your getting the nutrients you need....
